Names

Names are the manifestation of specific Roles in Fate. Each can be claimed by an individual who has proven themselves worthy in some way at a time when nobody else was holding the Name. How Heroes gain their Names is currently a matter of speculation, but Villains tend to gain their Name by making a claim to it and killing or dissuading anyone else who made a claim at the same time. Many Villainous Names are also claimed by killing the current holder in a manner consistent with the Name, such as Wekesa taking the Name of Warlock by killing the previous Warlock with magic.
