The Green Stretch is the largest agricultural region in Praes. It lies to the south of Aksum on the eastern shore of the Wasiliti. It is not a fief under any of the High Lords but rather a region of freeholds under direct imperial administration. This is to ensure no High Lord can starve the Empire, as most of the food production in Praes is done on the Green Stretch.
Amadeus was born in a village on the Green Stretch.
