An individual uses a series of magical arrays in order to initiate a link between two small containers of water. The water is used as a medium where an image can be glimpsed. From this link, two individuals or more depending on the size of the water container can speak.
Scrying is used to communicate over long distances. It allows military commanders the ability to coordinate attacks in two different instances. Scrying distance, clarity, as well as time frame that a conversation can be held, is determined by the strength of the mage who is initiating the ritual.
It is unknown if multiple links can be formed between vessels but highly skilled mages have been known to penetrate the communication between two individuals and spy on any conversations had.
