Wards are a form of magical barriers used for protection and containment.

Wards are a set boundary forcing certain properties onto Creation. They require a physical anchor, but so long as the anchor is undamaged, anyone with the Gift can add magic to sustain them.[1]

Wards cannot be made over water. However, it is possible to build proximity-triggered wards that threaten areas of water.[2]

Wekesa specialized in this form of magic.
